At St Elizabeth’s CVA we have a large range of books to support a range of social and emotional needs. As well as those that are planned throughout the curriculum, we have a large range of books which we use to support children through various experiences and difficulties.

Low Mood or Anxiety?

If you have a child or young person who is experiencing low mood or anxiety, then it is important as parents and carers that you stay calm and access the help which is available.

Funding has been made available across Derbyshire to support children and Young People’s mental health.

There are a range of ways the NHS can support emotional health and wellbeing.

If you need help, you can call 0300 790 0596 between the hours of 9am and midnight, seven days a week visit: https://www.derbyshirehealthcareft.nhs.uk/getting-help/mental-health-support-line where specialist mental health professionals will be there to help.

Problems with Sleep?

Many pupils are struggling with their sleep at the moment.  Here is a place you can visit for some practical information.  https://thesleepcharity.org.uk/national-sleep-helpline/

The helpline is open 5 nights a week, Sunday to Thursday 7pm-9pm and the number is 03303 530541.  The helpline is run by trained ‘Sleep advisors’ who can talk to young people directly or parents.
